While many are enjoying the benefits of a strong economy at present, it is neither stable nor equitable. We need to ensure North Carolina is great environment for both businesses and workers.

We must make North Carolina a safe and prosperous place for all of our citizens.

  • North Carolina ranks 47th in the nation for workers regarding wages, collective bargaining and wage negotiation; let's change that by raising wages and ending Right to Fire laws.

  • We need to increase the minimum wage to a living wage.

  • We must provide protections for women who are pregnant.

  • We need to mandate equal pay for women.

North Carolina should be a diverse and welcoming business state and we cannot allow discrimination to become a Tarheel trait.

  • We lost over $3.7 Billion in revenue thanks to HB2 – the Bathroom Bill – which did more than sanction bathroom use: it blocks local governments from adopting anti-discrimination laws to protect LGBTQ people and higher municipal minimum wages.

  • We lost PayPal, Adidas, and CoStar – The PayPal contract alone cost our state more than $200 million in 2017 and every year since

  • We lost another $196 million in revenue from concerts, sporting events and conventions that chose to avoid North Carolina as a venue rather than support the General Assembly's bad reputation.
